$170 is 44.5% of this deal…not insignificant

It's a relative thing. If one is thinking that the screen can be better that takes away from the experience. But if one never even had a handheld, the experience is awesome. I'm still in awe at the LCD, so OLED will always be there as something to look forward to and available if I decide I want more. But I'm honestly happy with the LCD and haven't lost that feeling of satisfaction. One of the secrets of staying happy as a SD'er is being happy with less, as constantly desiring more ends following the law of diminishing return as far as our complacency.

Great deal! Affordable and great portable console. Wish soon will see the same price for Rog Ally Z1 Extreme.

Yeah I kind of just want to test the water, this seems like a great little device to do so without spending too much. Not after the best graphics or anything. But do you find it limiting when doing multiplayer when there's a bunch of stuff going on at the same time?
Not really. I think it handles the load fairly well. The only problem is that D4 sucks down your battery like crazy, especially with the loot reborn season

$170 difference between LCD and OLED 512gb model is not that much considering overall price.

I'm tempted to sell my Odin 2 pro and go for one of these. But the battery life and portability on the Odin is just too good.

Not a linux user, but if I buy the 64gb one:

1. How would I transfer the SteamOs to a new nvme drive?
2. Does the 64gb built in memory just show as another drive?
It's super easy. You replace the existing 64 with a new 2230 nvme (double check me on the size). Valve has their own doc on how to reflash the OS. There are several videos on replacing the drive. I used a slower USB drive which was the biggest issue but still worked well after some time. Good luck!

The screen is crap, wait for the OLED sale.
That's complete bs. Lol. The screen is perfectly fine for an LCD IPS. No shit OLED is going to be better, but not worth twice the price for everyone. I'll buy an OLED one when they upgrade the rest of the hardware.

I have been playing D4 with this and it works great. I'm sure the OLED is better but I am not that concerned with it. Baldur's Gate 3 is next...
Are you playing D4 purchased on steam? I have it on game pass, I'd feel like an idiot paying for it twice.

Holding out for OLED since it also has a bigger battery.

I played d4 thru the bnet launcher. If all you have to do is link your gamepass account to your bnet account. It will probably work.

Might as well hold out until steam deck 2.

From what I read that's likely still years away. If they discount the OLED I'll pull the trigger.

I'm waiting for a deal on an OLED.

It's not just the nicer screen... The OLED model has 30-50% more battery, 90hz refresh vs 60hz and a better AMD APU built-in. Battery life, refresh rate and OLED are worth the extra money, IMO.
