The fridge works without panels, and panels can be ordered separately and installed later. My much bigger issue is the laughable reputation for quality Samsung has developed for appliances. I had a friend once comment that everyone has old Frigidaire or Kenmore fridges (think 10+ years), but they had never seen a Samsung or LG fridge over 2-3 years old despite them supposedly being "market leaders" for so long. Makes it hard not to feel that they make it to intentionally break.

I have this refrigerator and I love it. Bens Appliances and Junk, who also doesn't like Samsung in general, gave this model fridge a great review. He tore it down and was impressed with the build and quality. The ice maker has been redesigned and put in the bottom drawer. I like the quality of the ice and the two different sizes.

Samsung and Samsung Bespoke are almost two different companies, so to speak. The bespoke line is made in Korea, whereas all other Samsung is made in China. And I think that's why the Bespoke model line is so much better.

My Samsung fridge worked fine, required filter cleaning from dust once. However, plastic pieces started to break and fall apart.
Do not believe Samsung msrp. Also Samsung customer support is hell.
I am slowly clearing my house from Samsung tech.

Samsung Appliances? Never again! Learned my lesson. It was so bad that even the repair guy asked me What brand is it?" I said "Samsung "and he said " I won't even bother"

Last Samsung fridge went out on me after 3 months.

I got this fridge going on 1.5 yrs only 1 minor door hinge alignment issue which Samsung sent a tech to fix. The tech told me the doors don't come installed, they install them upon delivery so it's not Samsungs fault. I didn't see them install doors at my home but maybe back at the warehouse IDK. I've owned Samsung fridges and front loading washer dryer for over 10 years. The older fridge has the ice maker freeze issue which is widely discussed. Samsung got their act together and realized ice making needs to stay in the freezer not the fridge. My old laundry front loaders, zero issues with gas dryer, had 1 issue with the front load washer, a rubber water hose inside developed a small leak. Quick run to auto part store and got a vacuum hose to replace it. Otherwise everything has been fine. These issues did not deter me from buying a new Samsung fridge and washer dryer set for my new place.

I recall seeing a review on these particular 3-door models that was very positive. I believe they said the freezing of the water supply was resolved by moving the filer above the lower bins in the fridge area. This might be one of the more reliable samsungs out there.

I have needed to replace major parts on every Samsung appliance that I've owned, with the exception of the dryer and refrigerator. I have to defrost the ice maker in the fridge every 3 weeks or so, because it gets completely iced up and stops producing ice AND it drips water down the ice chute. Mad I won't buy another Samsung appliance.

You know they have a retrofit fix for the ice maker. They did mine for free even though it was out of warranty.

DO NOT get this fridge. I have a similar Samsung and it is abysmal. I rarely post on this forum but I hate it so much that I had to chime in. The French door style is bad enough, but it was made worse with the Samsung "quirks". The freezer drawer never seals properly, but just enough to not trigger the alarm. I also gave up on the in-unit water dispenser as the filters always "need" replacement as soon as they're installed. I mean that LITERALLY, not figuratively. On more than one occasion, using OEM filters, the replacement light came on after a few hours.

Sure, this is a slick deal considering the discount, but it's not worth it.
