New controller coming out and I would expect that we should see a lot of clearance on these models. Also, you buy this with "It won't happen to me" but it will. You will eventually see why there are so many complaints on this model. You have been warned.
Oh, Xbox sticks, why do you drift? Making my gaming skills go 'pfft!' Aiming left, but I go right, seems like you are getting blight. Xbox sticks, stay in your lane, You're driving all us gamers insane! But through it all, we'll keep the fight, 'Til our sticks are moving right.

Yeah, it's rumored a new one will be announced this year or next. Keep in mind this controller is from 2019 so it's already a last-gen controller. I wouldn't drop more than $50 on this. Unless you really care about customization the basic current-gen controller is just as good and better in many ways.

This is super tempting. I've just heard so many bad things about the quality control on these things. 🫤
Two year warranty on it through MSFT is $25 I believe. I love this controller and can't go back to the standard controller so I put up with an occasional RMA. At this point from all the sales I have two, one full one core and in the two+ years I have had one bumper go bad. Even then I could have probably fixed through the YouTube walkthroughs but used the warranty instead.

I cannot imagine spending this much on a controller that will end up with stick drift in anywhere from a few months to a few years. Controllers without hall effect analog sticks are an automatic no for me.

I bought this from Best Buy when it first released. I had used the Series 1 for over 4 years. Each one developed either stick drift, the right bumper would break, or covering would peel. Sometimes, all 3 things happened and I would return to Best Buy for a replacement. After 4 years, I went through over 4 replacements. I was excited when they announced the Series 2 thinking they would do better considering the price increase. After 4 months using the S2, I got stick drift. So, I got a replacement. It lasted 3 weeks then the stick drift started. So, I took it back and just used the regular controller from then on. I play about 8 hours a day and I take care of my controllers. No dropping or eating with them. The problem is QC and a flawed accelerometer to begin with. It's been a problem since the 360 days.
Even at $95, I still refuse to take a chance. They are premium feeling controllers, but they won't last, in my experience.
