230 volts? Sounds like it's not DIY-able unless you are an electrician or at least play one on TV.
Can anyone confirm? I would love to buy and DIY install this but I cannot run 240 volt lines without electrocuting myself.
Can you run any lines? I'm not telling you to do it but running 220 is really no harder than 110. You don't need anything special for these, they're pretty low power. Just double check the manual on what they recommend for wire and breaker.
Obviously working with electrical is something to take great care with regardless of situation. If you don't feel comfortable working with it, you definitely shouldn't be working with it.

I just installed a 230v 12000 from costway. My son is an electrician so the wiring only ran me $300.00. For the 12000 btu he had to order a 10amp breaker from a supply house. He said this is not very common, but the 230v is very efficent unit. You do have to Vaccuum pump the lines before you release the freon. I hired a local company to come and do that since I did not have a pump, but they were there less then 20 min so that bill should be minimum. Good luck.. Says it comes with 7 years warrant with professional install, so I will keep my invoice from the HVAC COMPANY and my Electrician to proof it. WOrks great.

I ended up buying one on ebay from Senville, using the offer features and saved like 300.00... A friend bought one of these had it's been great so I bought the higher end model; Senville
