Serengeti are very good quality optics. I have an Aviator in Rose Gold bough from Costco some time back. They have held up together absolutely well!!
Slightly heavy than your Rayban or Oakley due to the glass optics, but well worth for the clarity & scratch resistance.

Every eyedetective Serengeti deal brings out the fake crowd. Look at previous deals for commentary. If you think they're fake, don't buy them. We don't need eye detective reps to explain it. No one gets hurt if you don't buy these glasses. We don't need to convince these folks they're leggit.

Any pilots out there that use the Carrara? I fly with cheap polarized glasses and they're terrible for looking at screens. They're also not great to wear under a headset.
Not a pilot but that's the issue with polarized. There's no such thing as a more expensive polarized lens that fixes this issue.

Why not!! What's the issue with a headsup to other SD's who may not be aware that they would be getting a knockoff and also that they will have to pay for return shipping, by USPS only, to a Miami PO Box.

Love the Carrara for flight. Bought a pair previously from Eyedictive, and picked up a second pair today as a backup. Perfect for glass cockpit. They're real and they're spectacular!

Thanks! Do you wear them under a headset? If so, are they comfortable for longer flights?

No comfort issues personally with Bose A20. Have not worn them with my older DC's, which might be less comfortable, but those tend to clamp much harder in general.

Yeah, DCs are like wearing a vice on your head. I moved to Lightspeed Zulu 3s which are way more comfortable. Thanks for the pirep...I'm going to give them a whirl!

Also not a pilot but it's my understanding that Randolph's are the near universal choice among fighter pilots (ours and theirs). I saved up a bought a pair and there are essentially perfect. https://www.randolphusa.com [randolphusa.com]/

The only thing that would make sense is if they confirmed that they sell overstock to eyedictive. Obviously that doesn't mean eyedictive doesn't mix in fakes with real pairs but why would they have to if they have access to overstock? I personally bought a pair of these last time they were on sale and can confirm at least two things: They are glass and the lenses are photochromatic. $50 would be a reasonable price to pay for knockoffs with glass photochromatic lenses so imo it kind of doesn't matter either way.
Much harder to counterfeit glass lenses than plastic that can be bought anywhere.

Nikon N-4921-n (n=1.3.3.4.5 frame/glass tint) aviators are very high quality. Not to be confused with the cheaper Marlboro 4920 set. I like their polarization .. not stupid strong like Maui, but nicely done. They quit making these decades ago.

When I flew, I was always told by more experienced aviators to stay away from polarized glasses.

This is because polarized lenses reduce the pilot's ability to spot other nearby aircraft by eliminating the sunshine glint off that aircraft's skin.

Including link: The FAA advises against it [faa.gov]

FWIW.

Looks like the Serengeti Pilot is OOS. Darn, missed it. 🫤
