They went almost a decade without running any types of sales or big promotions and now we've had several this year. I love it. Highly recommend Zenni. They recently opened up a factory in Ohio so shipping is really fast now.

They also raised their prices... you're not saving anything when a sale becomes the new regular price
Can not prove it, but there may be another July 4th deal between the 1st and the 4th
I have gotten 5 glasses for $32 dollars from Zenni in the last two months. 3 for me with the Memorial Day ($26) sale and then "refer" a friend for a family member for my handicap father needed new glasses (the refer a friend took $30 dollars off the second order so all I paid was shipping for 2 more pair of glasses)

(I'm also a fan, but let's not fool ourselves??)
They have gotten more expensive, both in their coating options and more complex prescriptions (like bifocals). I recently switched and tried Goggles for you (which seems to run 60-67% off coupons al the time) and got a couple pair for ~2/3 the zenni cost.
Not that zenni is terribly expensive, but they've lost their lowest-cost crown in the online glasses space.

I actually started with Goggles4u and usually would order 5-6 pairs each year in one shot because they were so cheap why not. And every single time 1-2 that prescription was just clearly wrong. Final straw was my last order took 2 months to come in and I was done. Will pay more for others now.

Geez, I used to get $8 prescription glasses here, a few years ago. Looks like not anymore, huh? Lol.
You still can. They were always cheap plastic pr plastic/metal frames with uncoated lenses. These glasses[zennioptical.com] are all $6.95 with single vision, uncoated lenses. I have two pair I use for basketball (because I don't like the loss of peripheral vision from rec specs) so that if/when they get broken its nbd.
They've added a bunch of higher cost frames and push the upsell lens types and coatings. Still beats the pants off of local optometrists for price. I've got titanium frames from Zenni that are 6 years old. The only real problem is that Zenni won't just ship new lenses; you have to buy new frames, so it's a $30-35 upcharge over just the new lenses I need. That's *still* cheaper than local replacement lenses though.

Thanks. Yeah, I always get cheap glasses because I lose them.
I tried to use this coupon. Only gave me rabate on the frame which costs nothing and no rebate on the linses so this is a lousy coupon and no way frontpage.

Everyone raised prices. What you said pertains to everything.
Correct. But if you are paying attention to the conversation, I replied to someone celebrating that Zenni now has sales. The sales coincided with higher prices. Which means the prices haven't really changed -- it's not a sale, it's a marketing trick.
I'm not saying not to shop at Zenni. I do. But I don't do it because there's a sale..
