While I can't speak for this on switch- I have played this on PS4/PS5. So I decide to try it on a whim when I had a buddy over and I'm stuck playing this for 4 hours. He goes home and proceeds to play it over the next several days. It's a great game. It's like a metrodian fishing adventure/ restaurant sim. It's really fun and will keep you busy for hours.

While I can't speak for this on switch- I have played this on PS4/PS5. So I decide to try it on a whim when I had a buddy over and I'm stuck playing this for 4 hours. He goes home and proceeds to play it over the next several days. It's a great game. It's like a metrodian fishing adventure/ restaurant sim. It's really fun and will keep you busy for hours.

It is a great game, with neat RPG mechanics, and cooking game mix. The art style will probably work well in the switch, I played on PS5. It is nothing like a metroidvania style game at all, it simply doesn't apply here, but is great nonetheless.

Great game, son begged me to get it at full price, which kills me, but I did and so worth it. Switch version works great no issues at all. Try the demo it does a good job of showing off the game.

Funny enough, I absolutely love POP:TLC and I really like Dave The Diver. You are right, it's not really a Metroidvania style game, but there is something about it that must give it that feeling. I can't put my finger on it, but there's something there.

I torrented this game and loved it so much that I bought on Steam within the first hour. I play over 30 games a year and this bad boy was in my top 3 last year. It's truly magical the whole time.

Unlocking new areas to explore with abilities is pretty quintessential metroidvania in terms of level design.

It's the gameplay loop of it being a mix between Pokemon and Stardew Valley that makes it feel different. It also has hints of a rhythm game. I think the developer has many Easter egg nods to other games that helped influence the end product.
