Steve Koecher missing since 12/13/09! The family is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the resolution of the case.

His car was found abandoned in Henderson, NV at a 55 and over community, it had been there over 4 days.
Residents called the police when the car had been there for so long.
We have a rental house about 2 hours from Henderson & Steve has lived there for about a year.
I hope he is okay! It seems unreal that he is really missing.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding Koecher to contact the St. George Police Department at 627-4300 or the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at (702) 229-2907.
He has been on the news in Vegas and St. George. There are putting his pic on milk cartons sometime soon.

The last time the neighbors saw Steve was 10:30 pm Saturday night (12/11/09). John across the street said saw Steve & his car there for about 20 or 30 min and he was gone by 10:30 pm.
Sunday morning (12/13/09) a friend from his church ward called him and ask if he could teach a lesson that day.
Steve answered and said that he was in Vegas but he could come back and teach if they couldn't find any one else.
That was the last time anyone heard from him or saw him.
On Thursday the Henderson police called Steve's parents because his car had been at a 55 and older community, since Sun, abandoned.
His parents filed missing persons on Friday and hired a PI.

I've never heard of the portfolio. Off the cuff I would say it was a resume. These links have been on the news so I feel ok posting them here. I think that's just something to pay the bills, but anything is possible. |

Haven't looked at the news in days, have had unexpected company etc for my great aunt who passed. I will miss her but am proud to carry on her name which I also gave to my daughter. We both have the same middle name.
What a total sorry excuse for a human being, if he ever even was one.
I feel sick, this is really upsetting me as I am sure it is many of you guys.
And to speak of Steven, there is still nothing new that I can tell

Really? I hadn't heard that the investigation had progressed. But I probably pay more attention to Steve's story because of your connection to him, NikNik. I just took it as more of a control issue. The judge didn't let him have his way so he made sure no one else was going to be happy.

But I do wonder, his roommate was not so good a person, and has since moved and vanished himself. He could have arranged for Steve to meet someone, or some acquaintance that no one knew Steven had known. Like maybe someone he met while handing out fliers etc. They could have told him, hey my buddy is hiring I'll call him for you, you can set up a interview etc...
That is what makes it all the more suspicious to me, that he was set up. If someone had intended him harm then they would have made sure he did not use his personal email or phone that could be eventually traced.

The other person was constantly spamming about physics and wouldn't let up. I don't think it is on the page anymore but there have been all kinds of physics that contacted the family with leads etc. none of the info let to anything at all.
Then there was a lot of speculation and arguing about the Susan Powell case and Steven's case. Pages and pages of it that did nothing for either case. It just made the page messy, annoying, and distracted from the purpose of Steven's page. Which is to tell his story and put his picture out there so that there are more eyes out there looking for him.
It got so out of control that the family almost shut the page down. This new admin is a family friend and took control for them and cleaned it all up. She is pretty strict and blunt but it is the only thing that has kept the page cleaned up and under control.

I still hope that Steven is alive.. The very best outcome would be that he ran away of his own freewill.. I still believe that is possible.. People HAVE been known to do that - like Nicholas Francisco and Matthew Wilson (a Rice University student)... It sounds odd but sometimes feel so much pressure and just need to get away...
Sadly statistics aren't on his side and there's a good chance that he's no longer alive.
Josh Powell is the lowest of the low.. and I hope that perverted sicko father of his - never gets out of prison.. He's being held in jail for his sick, perverted child porn charges.. I hope he gets 30 years and dies in jail. I think he knows exactly what happened to Susan and where her body is located at..but that scumbag will never tell.. Ugh..
