this is less food than their $6 build your own box. They keep raising prices and decreasing portions 🥺
My store has the option to upgrade the side to chips and guac for a 20¢ upcharge. They're no Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, but at least there's another option available for a small charge (YMMV).
If you use Uber, they have happy hour from 2-5 pm and I have a couple Taco Bells near me that participates and gives up to 50% off, most stores offer 40%off, if you spend $15 minimum. They also have buy one get one free in some items, the selection depends on the store.

Happy hour discounts even let you pick up instead of forcing you to get it delivered so you save a lot on fees. The Uber prices are very close to the prices in-store so with the discounts it is much cheaper. And Taco Bell lets you schedule your order so as long as you order from 2-5 pm you can pick up whenever.

It gets better if you got the Uber gift cards from Costco as well.

Yeah, I know that many locations the $6 box either doesn't exist or is more than $6 - that's the only reason I shared it Smilie

Per varying news articles, this is supposedly part of the "value competition" among chains (Burger King/ McDonald's Wendy's $5 bags). They say this is their best deal with more food than competitors. This one I found particularly funny as they said they called it "Luxe" to show there is luxury in fast food which I think is totally nuts. Seems like fast food is forgetting their purpose sometimes.

The $5 box is $7 now in my area, so this is essentially replacing the potatoes I'd usually get with a double stacked taco and chips w/ cheese sauce. I do like mixing it up with the Crunchwrap supreme in the "$5" cravings box, but it's good to have choices at the same price point.

The Wendy's $3 breakfast meal is a surprisingly good value.

Yeah, stack it with a free drink offer w/ purchase and you have a full meal. That said, IMO the english muffins they have are terrible and much worse than mcdonalds

Build your own box is only available in the app. This can be ordered at the restaurant.

Pretty sure the Luxe is from Deluxe. Not from Luxury.

Panera bread $5.99 chicken sandwich or salad with a free unlimited sip drink is the best value in town at the moment

In my area, there's still the 4 for 4 on a jr cheese burger, and then I usually stack it with what free item they are giving each day, which can be a large fry or their verison of a mcchicken.
