LG and samsung, I'm pretty sure that they design those electrical boards to fail. All part of their obsolescence, but it sure would be nice if a third party could step in and sell you an electrical board for a fair price. Maybe one that wouldn't break.

So who do we go with? I thought LG was good?

What's a good matching washer for this model?

I would answer, but I'm no expert. I've had good luck with my GE, but I think almost every brand has a critical fail point, and when that point fails they make sure that it's more expensive to repair it than to buy a new one. I'm just saying we're long overdue for a third party to isolate those failures, and to create a repair that's not insanely expensive, that allows you to keep your - washer / dryer / fridge / lawn mower / etc - running for 10-15 years.

I have had the washer and dryer combo for four years. Can confirm the dry sensor sucks. I constantly have to dry my clothes again after the first cycle. There's also a lot of humidity that gets trapped inside the dryer.

You sure your vents aren't clogged or the dryer full of lint? Another thing, how long is your vent tube to the outside and does it have bends on it?

I have an LG dryer and only time drying sucked was when our vent pipe was long and had too many bends.

I've been avoiding LG in recent years after seeing so many friends using different LG products. Just all across the board these things don't last. Appliances. TVs. Even when they were making smart phones. I don't know what it is with LG but they seem to cut corners for mission critical components

Wonder if I can cook a Turkey in it. Getting boring doing the traditional ways. Wrapping in bacon. Etc.
I thought this was an oven at first lol

What do LG phones have to do with appliances?

I've had an LG Washer and Dryer of the same class since 2022 and they're been fantastic. (YMMV)

My last LG set was 10 years old and still functioning perfectly fine until I decided to upgrade to this model dryer & matching washer. Due to their reliability is why I decided to buy another LG set, hoping to be trouble free again. No issues with the new dryer drying properly either. Ensure that you have a good vent & no kinks in the hose.

Had mine for a little under a year and have no issues with either. Check your vent outside and make sure you are getting good airflow through it.
