There is a YMMV Amex offer that gives $15 back if you spend $50. Could work here if you spend more for upgrades more than one pair.

This would be important if glasses in brick & mortar stores didn't cost $400.

Try with a prescription of +0.75. Same thing, but it goes as Prescription vs OTC Readers and should have the discounted lenses as an option.
But what do you enter in all the other fields? Do you leave them all with zeros, and just put in the Add of +0.75 in this example?

The manual prescription asks for a bunch of other numbers:
Right Eye - OD: SPH, CYL, Axis
Left Eye - OS: SPH, CYL, Axis

I can never seem to figure out ordering glasses through online...
First it helps to have your prescription. Your prescription will have all the numbers you need except maybe PD. That you can use a ruler or something to measure the distance between your pupils. Secondly, you want measurements of a frame that suits your face so you can look for similarly sized frames. I need to find L or XL frames and usually get frame widths about 130+mm. You also want a good idea of frame height you want.

I have gotten replacements for free from Goggles4u before but not sure if Zenni will do the same if a pair doesn't work out.

I am tired of wearing readers (+1.75) and taking them off for distance. My distance vision is +0.5.

I was thinking of trying progressive lens via Costco. Any reasons I should NOT try costco?

thanks

Hi, can you help which to pick?
I recently realized that I can't read on my phone without fully extending my hand. This has happened relatively short period of time.
Went to an eye exam and got 1.5 on both; I've ordered double lens glasses, 0.75 main (for "computer monitor"), and 1.5 at the bottom for reading. I find it uncomfortable to always look through the bottom, so I want to order a full 1.5 for reading.
I've asked Chatgpt, but it gives me confusing answers. IDK anything about the terminology; which one should I get with this deal, or should I get the cheap ones selling everywhere?
Thanks

I used to order from Coastal but they no longer exist. Is this site the alternative now or are there better ones? I prefer metal frames over plastic

Their lenses were never a problem for me. It was the super cheap frames that keep peeling or breaking.

Either way still affordable enough to grab a few pairs. Better than losing the $200-300 designer frames I had.
We've bought several dozen pairs over many years and no problems with lenses or frames or coatings or scratches.

I doubt Costco can touch the price of Zenni. All the "fitting" the optician does after you get the glasses is kabuki theater in my opinion. I can usually buy three glasses, at least, for the price of one when shopping locally.

The pair of progressives I got from Costco was less than half what other chain optical stores quoted me. However, they were several times more than what Zenni was.
