This headset has not been redesigned or changed at all. Maybe their PC products have, I don't know, but these are identical to all the pairs I have bought over the years.

The acquisition was a few years back now, but I have yet to see a change in their headset design/quality. I have never used any of their other products, maybe those have been updated.

Yes. I have 2 of these (1 for work and 1 for Xbox). It's been a few years and the pleather headband started to peel. It's well worth the price.

These have really good longevity. And can take some abuse (drops, wire pulled, etc..). Had mine for a few years, volume and mic are great, music sounds good too!

Be aware, HP bought HyperX from Kingston fairly recently and ever since the quality has gone down tremendously on the products
