I'm 77 & have no idea how to do that. The Lenovo Outlet deal was posted on SD yesterday, and it may still be valid. The laptop I purchased sold out, Lenovo ThinkBook 14 Gen 6 w/ 16GB RAM & 512 SSD, backlit board, fingerprint reader & Ryzen 7 7730U (I believe that's correct). With tax, it was $473. There may still be deals there w/ 20% code. Hope this helps you.
It's not about Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7.

AMD 8000 series is basically identical to 7000 series mobile save the for AI NPU. The most important number in a AMD mobile CPU is the third digit. 7X40 and 8X40 are the only ones worth buying if you are paying more than $300-400. As the 4 indicates Zen 4 architecture.

For the 7000 and 8000 generation, all the Ryzen 7 come with 780m iGPU which is theoretically 50% faster than 760m iGPU on the Ryzen 5. Note that some Ryzen 5 starting wtih 754X and 854X come with 740m which is only 1/3 as powerul as the 780m.
It says "512 GB PCIe® Gen4 NVMe™ M.2 SSD" on the specs shared above.

Good price on this sucker. I'd have some interest except that I bought that Acer Swift Go from Amazon last month and yesterday getting the Lenovo Outlet ThinkBook 14, both via SD, of course, so I'm not in the business for a new laptop. Repped, OP.

Seems like great price but see. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Not...-p/8360940

So many of these 2 in 1 seem 2 have similar hinge problems regardless of make. I had Lenovo Yoga with cracked screen due 2 hinge attachment design. Several class action lawsuits vs. several companies.

I would consider staying away from Acer. So many of their models had battery/usb-c charging issues that were never fixed/repaired, and that should have been recalled. My Acer Spin 3 didn't show signs of this issue for about 10 months, then it's been wacky. Reddit is a good source to find others with similar problems, so at least research Acer's models first, and also HP's hinge problems. Avoid a lemon.

I didn't know HP had hinge problems but i think as someone above stated, they all do especially the 2 in 1 design. Lenovo was the company with the most described hinge problems (maybe you meant Lenovo and not HP), but I had a broken hinges on my Asus (2 in 1) and LG Gram (not 2 in 1) as well.

I actually saw this on display at best buy the other day. It was on sale for $550 which I thought was a good price for this. $500 is great. Pretty thin for a 2 in 1 with decent port selections. Not the lightest laptop but not the heaviest either. Build quality seemed good with metal chassis (I believe Envy is a step up from Pavillion). Screen is good enough for indoor use.

I have a slightly older ( 6 months?) Version of this model. But with the Intel u series chip. Pretty nice laptop on the whole. I'd worry what the HS designation means in terms of thermals though?? Prior to that laptop I had bought a very nice hp envy the with an Intel p series chip and had returned it because the fan was always running and even then it was hot hot hot just web browsing.

Two potential gotchas with this model. If you are a shorts wearer you will find that this hinge design leads to two rather sharp content points on your bare skin. I mostly solve this by lining the sharp points with electrical tape. Looks ugly works okay; kind of stupid HP makes you do that though. Second issue is this model and the model year before it seems to have a somewhat weak keyboard that is prone to partial failure. The key still work but they become non-tactile. I've seen this happen to the backspace key on my keyboard and the space key on a prior year model that I bought used. Meanwhile I've never had any hinge issues with this model or the models prior to this ( I have at 5 HP touch screen laptops ranging an age from 6 months to 6 years).

And yes the screen is definitely under saturated. But hey guys it's really easy you just go into the control panel and boost the saturation. The colors won't be completely perfect doing this but it will completely escape the problem that everything looks flat, at the cost of slight color accuracy that you will be unable to pick out unless you have a 100% ntsc high quality screen sitting next to it to compare to.

Does anyone know if this has the Trusted Platform Module chip? The similar Lenovo is reported to not have it.

I would skip it, had a 16" version of this purchase BF 2020. Regularly overheated, always ran hot. Hard drive failed and Costco actually took it back. Shopping for a replacement and will avoid HP (as my network technician spouse had suggested from the start). It's Lenovo or Dell for me.

It comes w/ Windows Home 11 which requires TPM 2.0. So how could it NOT include the TPM module? I doubt HP would have hacked the Windows installation on a retail machine.

Is there a big difference between Ryzen 5 and 7 8000 series?
