Far as I can tell... 4th gen available for 129 at Lowe's and HD. It looks a little slicker, but afaik... Does not work with Nest app - just the Home app.

After more looking into it... The 4th gen thermostat is not meant to be an upgrade from Gen 3. 4th Gen doesn't show on Nest App - just the Home app. 4th gen has AAA battery backup unlike the 3rd Gen which has a difficult to replace battery pack. I have had 3rd Gen battery problems when I was gone for 6 weeks. And the battery packs don't last forever from what I read.

Home Depot has the same thermostat with 2 temperature sensors for $186. Seems like a better deal IMO but only for the next 4 days, apparently.
