Bought this from Microcenter @$920 - Good GPU, simple black with white PNY logo, matches my black build. Most of the 4080s are within a few % performance of each other so differences are largely aesthetic. Good price for a build now, but if you can wait the 5xxx series should drop within a year.
Still rather get a 7900xtx for 800 or less than this
I have 7900 xtx and rather have 4080 for $100 more. When I got my xtx, the 4080 was $250 more after tax but if it was only $100 difference, I would get the 4080. Raytracing/Pathtracing is more usable with 4080 and 4090, DLSS 3 is more widely supported, updating DLSS is possible with .dll files compared to waiting for AMD, 4080 is more power efficient so it could save you the $100 over time depending on power cost, AMD still has some games that crash or don't work optimally, Nvidia also keeps its resale value much better so later when you sell the card, you might get $100 more for it. It really has to be a bigger cost difference. AMD is better if you never play raytracing or on linux or buying low/midrange.
