For people that have used this and Eufy branded cameras, any thoughts on which is better ?
Seems like Eufy is more popular around here ?
Video quality wise both are similar the difference is for there subscription model and storage if you are using homebase with eufy. Tapo requires subscription for notification with thumbnail and cloud storage, while eufy doesn't have any subscription also the tapo cam storage is sd card on the camera which I feel like anyone could destroy if it is easily accessible. I do have tapo and eufy and I like them both.

I haven't used eufy but this tplink camera is terrible. I tried it because I use other tplink devices and wanted to manage it'll all from the same app, but this product was basically garbage. I ended up using Reolink and it's 90 day difference better than Tp link cameras.

You first connect it to the TP Link app, then after the setup process you can go into the camera settings and enable RTSP, which makes the camera accessible via local IP. Any RTSP software can then access the live feed without the official app anymore.
Worth noting though I don't think you can control the camera i.e. move it around without the official app, although I didn't dig deeper into that.
