Good price for the 4-door counter-depth version. Note that this one does not have the beverage center, just an autofill pitcher - $1386.75

Trading in any old fridge knocks the price down to $1236.75. If you do not see that option, use browser's incognito mode.

I've been researching heavily for a new fridge similar to this one, and universally all I see are comments to avoid Samsung refrigerators. I really like their offerings too, but dang they overwhelmingly have the most complaints. The main complaint is there is an internal drain that gets plugged and as a result water leaks into the drawers.

Based on my research, that issue has been corrected on the Bespoke models with the ice maker located in the freezer.
Do not buy a refrigerator with a thru-the-door ice maker from ANY brand. That's just asking for trouble. High-end brands like SubZero and Thermador all have the ice maker in the freezer.

Cool, do you have any links to anything about the changes? I agree about the ice makers.

The trade in is for a old phone not an old fridge.

Read it again. The page clearly shows a $150 discount if you trade in an old appliance.

Base in my research, I rather buy a Samsung than Whirlpool if I want French door or fancy features like auto ice maker.

More specifically, don't buy a *FRENCH DOOR* refrigerator with in-door ice maker. This configuration (freezer on the bottom) requires a separate ice making chamber in the upper refrigerator portion which is the source off all the issues. Keeping that ice making chamber, which needs to be very cold and very low humidity, inside the refrigerated envelope that is much higher temperature and high humidity is incredibly prone to problems.

Side by side refrigerators don't have this problem. Those models are fine if you want in door ice - as the ice maker is logically located in the freezer envelope where it makes sense.

I had a previous generator samsung french door with ice dispenser and it took 4 fixes before they got the ice maker to work reliably without turning into a solid block of ice every few weeks. To their credit they did get it fixed (finally) but it took *several* attempts and the techs kinda laughed at how many revisions of fix kits they had gone thru over the years.

The change is the bespoke series doesn't have ice in the door - they have dual ice makers in the freezer envelope where nature intended them to be. And because they just empty into a bucket to be manually retreived, you don't have to worry about augur / augur motor issues related to dispensing or the penetration needed between the ice/freeze compartment thru fridge thru door. You have to manually retreive ice, but the common sense tradeoff makes it incredibly more reliable.
