I've been hoarding slick shills for decades, all just to burden my family with crap. I can probably still find some woot BoC items somewhere.

But that's the entire point. "No one" (meaning family or whoever has to take care of your belongings after you croak) wants your sh*t because now they have to deal with emails from a bunch of bots and flakes on Craigslist/marketplace. It's a pain. Hell, even setting up a charity to come get it means making all kinds of calls and appointments. Don't do that to your family/friends. Lol.

Well, everybody dies one day. Unless you live in a cave, someone will still have to deal with your sh*t after you croak. The fact that you're on SD, you'll be more likely to have more craps than normal people.

I thought about it too. I did feel that between getting sales on items when the price is right is more expensive than buying what I need when I need it, sale or not, since I have little desire in any needs. SD is about buying what you need not, not what you need. It's hard to fight that temptation but with practice I slowly improved. Still working on it. The secret imo is just having little desire and practicing having little desire. Minimalism. SD can be a boot camp that challenges that, so think of it as the great Ultimate.

I guess I'll buy it now while it's at a special price and hope I get around to reading some day.

It's a fun book in a way, kind of a blend between Swedish Death Cleaning, Marie Kondo and a bitchy best friend. I liked it.

SlickDeals is notorious for feeding my hoarding impulses, as another poster says, it often feeds what we don't need. On the other hand, it can exercise the "nope, I don't need that" muscle too. Lately I've been paying whatever to just buy what I actually need, which often working out cheaper in the end with less clutter than chasing "deals" to move that clutter from stores into my home.
