Well I have a 2022 ROG STRIX i9 12th Gen I got on a big sale. Always plan on keeping high end ones like this for 8+ yrs if possible.
The Asus software is Very, Very, Very Bad. My aunt's i5 12th Gen has ALWAYS been faster because of it.
Finally got that aftermarket GitHub ( drawing a blank, not feeling well ) but others will know & wont have time to come back. It is Great software and makes a big difference. Can turn off all Asus stuff and still use lighted keyboard.
It also has a Serious battery drain issue. Tried registry tweaks and that helped a little bit.
Something at BIOS level.
Asus has turned to S..t for some products. Not all divisions I hope.

I have the Alienware M16, the CPU hits 100c easily while gaming I think it causes throttling anyways I use Throttlestop Power Limit on CPU and it runs fine.

Actually Amex has $105 cb of $550 and Dell can split payment which can get another 5% back for Chase, I think BOA has 5% cash back too.

Lol, Asus bios? No way, I have a 2nd gen that I had to format the motherboard bios from memory stick.

Since then it's been fine, age has finally caught up to it though. Think my girl's video card is on it's last legs. Still, too funny to know Asus still has bios problems. Their laptops last forever if you can avoid that software issue though!
