I get what you are trying to say, but to be clear, this is not something like a membership which grants access to the ability to purchase from a store. There are a lot of benefits to the membership which extend even beyond Walmart stores. The most common benefit is that there are no delivery fees directly applied to grocery deliveries when placed sufficiently in advance (I use this due to strict covid precautions; both myself and my partner are vulnerable to complications of infections). Lesser known benefits are discounts on things like travel, auto care, and promotions on entertainment like Paramount+.

No they treat this as full subscription. This is not the trial. This is discounted.

Oh, you have to join the Walmart delivery service. Another (yes, another...) $49/yr and they deliver it in house, put all the cold stuff away, and put the rest on the countertop.

Simply unbeatable. Even if they increased prices 20%, I'll never shop anywhere else.

Has anyone tested whether a teacher can get this. The IS check services sometimes/often grant access.

I have to say the in store scanning and quick checkout is really awesome. I wish more stores had that function. That said, I won't renew my membership. It really isn't worth it at full price. Id reconsider though if they stopped using plastic bags for deliveries.

I love walmart plastic bags, can reuse them as small trash bags.

I'm easily susceptible to sensory overload (autism, fun) so going to my local Walmart is... Difficult, at best. But I love the deals and clearance. This helps me a great deal.
Everyone suffers from that while going into a walmart. You see the craziest shit during the day and night. Only good time to go is when they open their doors.

Speaking as someone who hates going into a Walmart store, I have to say I really like Walmart plus. Lots of stuff has free delivery for things I can't get from Amazon. Getting Walmart cash coupons on things adds up. Occasional use of free grocery delivery is nice (still need to tip). The 5% with cb with capital one Walmart reward card adds up as well. There is a bunch of other perks, from free paramount+ (the ad supported version, but nice for kids shows for my daughter), free flat tire repair at their auto centers, .10c off gas, etc.

My membership renews in a couple days and I'll be using the amx cb bonus, the spend $98 on Walmart+, get $49 back one. (Expires July 12 if you are looking to use it!)
This might sound silly, but it's been awesome for groceries. I share my login with my wife and that way we both share the same cart. Through the week we fill it up and then I do a free pickup or delivery. The Walmart app does a good job of remembering our past grocery purchases in a way that is easy to reorder fairly quickly for future purchases. The substitution settings can be a pain but once you do it for an item once, it remembers for future orders. Whenever there is an item missing or damaged, which I admit does happen more than I like :/, at least cs support is fast and easy and they always give me a discount code after issuing a refund for whatever items. Amazon has been a pain lately so it's nice Walmart support is fairly quick at least.
Anyhow, There is a list of all the perks in the app. Take a look and you might be surprised at all the stuff they offer.

My Walmart membership is more valuable than Amazon to me. If it was solely my decision Amazon would be off my books. One of the best perks outside home delivery and free return pickup at your door is the instant cash back manufacturer offers. You can actually cash it out inside Walmart once you've gotten $25 or more in the account.

Definitely worth $49, but not $98. I've been paying $49 for the past two years when promos come around and this service has been helpful!

I think it's worth it. I got the black Friday deal last year and I'm paying this much. My orders are around $75 or so and the $10 tip to the delivery person is worth it for me. I would buy more extra stuff if I was in the store. No minimum on delivery is a great value too. I haven't even started to use any of the other perks yet. I might even buy this for my oldest when he goes to college and is living with my ex mother-in-law.

Did you renew already or instead are you planning to renew? Wondering if you can get in on this well before the subscription expires in order to ensure I get the deal. I'm on a 49$ deal from Black Friday-ish. I'll pay 49, but not $98 for this.

Yeah but I don't need to store 1000 tiny trash bags, and generally try to avoid plastic where I can.
