Why do all these new smartwatches make us tethered to the charger on the daily? I see from the reviews that some people are getting less than 18 hours of battery life even with AOD off. Unlike phone charging, charging a smartwatch requires quite a bit more work. If you use the watch for sleep tracking, and you don't charge it at night, are you supposed to bring the charger with you everywhere you go?

Yeah, saw that a bit after I posted. Given how fast Charge 5s are dropping, it would probably be a good idea for anyone whose unit hasn't bricked yet to trade it out for something better.

why select any specific model at all. Why not select Other, Any Condition and be done with it.?

I have two watches for this reason. I use my older one at night and the nicer new one during the day

i was printing my label and it says YES to does the device turn on. I thought I read it doesn't matter? I used a CSR to get the watch to match $110 and curious if she typed in yes? Will I be out of $100 because of this question? TIA

That's why I still rock a first gen Fitbit Sense. 5 days of battery, phone notifications, microphone for Alexa commands and answering calls like dick Tracy. What else do I really need on my wrist?? Seriously, what am I missing out on?

Google assistant is pretty useful imo, automation with tasker (silence when at work, etc), turn by turn navigation without having to look at phone (while walking, for example).

If you selected ANY CONDITION, you should be fine. I sent in a dead Fitbit and they it accepted for the full $100 trade-in value.

I have the watch pro 5 and I get about 4 days worth battery life between charges.

Granted, I don't do sleep monitoring mode, but I did when I first got it and I got 2 days worth.

The biggest point you could be making is that they need to up the wireless charging speed. With such a small battery, a watch should fully charge in 30 minutes or less. That makes it convenient if you wake up and charge it while showering and getting ready for work.
