This is a very good last gen game. The sequel takes it even further (although feels less Star Wars), but this is a very solid action adventure. Lots of exploration in a semi-open world.

This is a very good last gen game. The sequel takes it even further (although feels less Star Wars), but this is a very solid action adventure. Lots of exploration in a semi-open world.

I wanted to like it as an old school fan. The soulborne style of it is a massive turnoff.

I'm not a Star Wars fan but really enjoyed the gameplay and pace. Easy game to get into if you're the type that doesn't have too much time to sink into gaming these days.

I sucked so hard at this game. Couldn't even defeat some mini boss or something in the first planet you go to after the start lol

Survivor is a much better game but this is good too. Hate that there is no warp feature in this game to get back to the starting point after you complete a mission, like there is in Survivor.

I'm pretty conflicted about this game. The gameplay is decent, but the level design and the map is horrendous.

I forget how far I got in this game, but I remember having a hell of a time involving a seemingly innocuous part where you had to navigate and jump while going down a slide. Seemed like the controls never responded the way you meant them to and it took me WAY too long to get past that part.

Keep at it. The first time you go up against those frog things you'll get wrecked. Eventually you learn to dodge block and parry and the game is fantastic.

"Soulsborne" refers to a genre/style of gameplay similar to that of the Dark Souls/Bloodborne games. Combat revolves around striking, parrying, dodging, and blocking enemy attacks. Though it is more forgiving than traditional Soulsborne games and you can pick the difficulty. It also has semi-open world and "Metrodivania" (exploring/returning to previously explored areas after progressing to acquire new gear/skills) elements to it. It is a no-brainer to play at this price point IMO.

Amen. I had my tablet out and open the entire playing this game (before finally quitting) because the levels were just so confusing and obtusely designed I had to constantly refer to walkthroughs to get to the next part. And useless map, cool looking but beyond useless.

I swear the game would be 3-5 hours,..MAX if it wasn't so padded with needless backtracking...err 'exploring.'

Gameplay and story were great on the other hand.
