So yes people would see a noticeable difference between 1080p vs 4k.
What most wouldn't see a noticeable difference is in streaming HDR10 vs DV/HDR10+ content.
Art influences life, & life influences art. Art could include religion, philosophy, any ideology, architecture, clothing, furniture, novels, music, TV shows, movies, video games, physical appearance & skills of any animal (eg, peacock), etc. In many ways, creating &/or analyzing art is vastly more useful than voting, watching sports games, & passively absorbing the TV & movie screen.
So yes people would see a noticeable difference between 1080p vs 4k.
What most wouldn't see a noticeable difference is in streaming HDR10 vs DV/HDR10+ content.
But very accurate to the book. Cause the book was boring too
So yes Ppl CAN tell the difference between 1080p(non HDR) vs 4k(resolution)!
Typical home tvs are not 4k capable, not even close.
The majority don't see the value in them, that doesn't mean they can't see the difference.

My Selected Aladdin shows 4K but I have HD while 4K is available for purchase. King Kong and Johnny English does not show 4K as they are already in 4K

"Ppl notice HDR vs non-hdr. Lots of ppl can't tell 1080p vs 4k", thats pretty much a contradiction!
If you do a little research you would find that there are very few "4k" content that does not include some form of HDR.
I own over 150 4k titles & I just bought one of the few that doesn't include HDR, The Others.
I could take any of those titles(4K) and the BR(1080p) counterpart and play each on a BR/4K player on the same display and I willing to bet everyone would be able to tell the difference between "1080p vs 4k"!
Now on whether there are many variables in what you're actually viewing I completely agree, there are.
BUT that is a completely different topic than your statement!
