Nice find. I have Panda unit that looks almost exactly like this that I bought in 2019 that's been giving me problems - supposedly this one is a bit bigger.

I just ordered one, this is at least $50 less then I've seen washers at this size go for.

Amazon has it ($240 with a $20 off coupon) if you want to check out reviews there: https://www.amazon.com/Deco-Home-...0BQZD6D7Z/

I saw two complaints (one on Walmart) that the unit leaks. Others have complained about the hoses being too short and a couple people have mentioned they received a defective unit (such as it won't spin) or is smelly. These are typically not drained fully after testing and have some water in them.

There is a solar option but only works half the time.

Could these fit king size comforters and blankets?

If someone really needs a smaller washing machine, might I recommend skipping this and getting a $100 Chinese one with a spin dryer off Amazon. Even if you don't have a dryer, you can just hang the cloths, run a fan over them and even a dehumidifier if feeling fancy or dry them with a cloths line outside if you have the space.

We bought one for our apartment and it was perfect for everything except for our duvets and sheets.
Do you have a link?

The one I bought back in 2017 is no longer available, just checked. But it's still working, even after a washing per week.

I did search on Amazon for a similar model

https://www.amazon.com/SUPER-DEAL...161&sr=8-2

and

https://www.amazon.com/Giantex-Po...161&sr=8-3

I say get the 3-4 year $15 warranty as well. :-)

I am waiting for those portable units to drop on price. They are far less costs in Asia markets and better models.

This is too big for our camper but I would be interested to hear any feedback people may have on the small ones on Amazon that at 11-15L. Just wanting to do some socks, underwear, and maybe light t-shirts and shorts while on 2-3 week road trips camping.
Depending on where you park your RV, some camp sites have a lot of those amenities available. Meeting people or people watching is half the fun.

Starts with, "do you know where .... is?" That leads to the inevitable so, "where you from or going or have been to on this trip?" Older people will have loads of tips from RV life over the years they've been doing it. What to avoid and what not to miss that is nearby your plans already.

If you've been doing it for a while and don't feel like mingling with the tent people, sure, lug that machine around everywhere you go in your RV; it'll feel like home.

I stopped using community laundry when I found out some families reuse baby diapers.
Somebody grew up only wearing Pampers and store bought disposable diapers. My mother kept a set of 5 or more cloth diapers for each of her 8 children she had from the 70's to 90's. She'd rather spend the money from time to time on birthday presents. She'd clean them by hand before washing them with other similar items. She had them initialized with a maker for which child they were from and think fondly of the history a simple piece of cloth meant to her when she saw that faded ink on that white cloth.

If you ask a mom that cares enough to do that, you'll get an answer that shows a glimpse of just how much love she has for her children.

Nice find! Was close to getting the $316, 1.6 cubic ft com-fee one on Amazon. This one is lighter and I'm sure not as durable, but this is half price!

I assume you mean reusable washable diapers, which are normal... people crap in their pants all time, kids pissing in it all the time... thats what the washer is for..

Didn't know about these, thanks ! But for the same price this one spins in the same tub. Why do you prefer the non automated one ?

I'm curious why they recommended as well.

This seems like a way better deal. This one has a similar footprint, holds more and is automatic.

5 years is a pretty good run for a portable. I would have stuck with another Panda if I were you because most of these newer ones break much sooner. My friend went through three Black & Decker ones because the lid kept breaking after 6-9 months. Cheap plastic. Eventually he just put a regular size front loader in his kitchen next to his counter and used a Y valve and used it like you would a portable. Problem solved. Not practical for everyone if they don't have the space but its an option you can make any washer operate like a portable with the right hardware..

I've never purchased a portable washer before but I'm very interested. I found this larger one (holds 25lbs) on AliExpress (shipped from the US) for $140 free shipping. Would this be an even better deal?

I have a 15.8L unit from Amazon (Nictemaw Portable https://a.co/d/0hnqOtum ) that I've been using for about 6 months. It is loud and the drainage hose can become detached. I used some light epoxy compound so the drainage hose never comes detached. You have to take the back panel off. Have only had leakage, minor, when the unit had too much in it that stuck to one side. Like 10 pairs of boxes or 20 pairs of socks at one time? No issue. Drying, however, requires a laundry line. Towels are hit or miss in this unit too.

You have to test the laundry detergent levels too. You can't use a full cup or cap. Like a quarter amount is more than enough. Adding vinegar helps with overly wrinkled products. These things are loud as heck too. If you pay for water (I don't, weird landlord) then you may wanna see if these have big impacts on the water when left unattended eith the faucet attachment.
