Unrelated to deal, but on both Chrome and Edge when I click any VS link it goes to open a window them immediately closes it. The emails I get from them don't show any content apart from the small print when viewing hotmail in the browser. I can go to the site directly from the URL bar, but can't think why I'm having issues with links.

Do you have adblock? Could be related.

Had the same thing happen in Firefox. Turned off Ublock Origin for this tab and then the link opened fine, even with UBO running in the new tab.

Turning off Ublock on SD definitely stopped the window closing itself, but obviously meant SD is no longer free of ads. I guess I can just selectively turn it on and off as needed.

SD has been breaking all their links by encrypting their hyperlinks. Everything is now obfuscated so you can't tell where links are taking you, most likely to collect more redirection revenue

You can whitelist the domain (web address) of the site itself, temporarily if you are going to purchase, then once complete simply remove site from whitelist and all is back to normal. If you have things like Ublock, privacy badger, decentraleyes, etc you will run into this often.

The issue stems not from browsers but from the SD site itself. The way how SD posts links on here is:
visible url link => referral site => real site. Essentially, this is how they monetize on click-throughs as far as I can tell.

A very easy workaround in Firefox is:
Right click on the link and do 'Copy link without site tracking'.

Then paste what you just copied into a new tab and it will work any time and all the time regardless whether you have adblock or not.
