This thread is guaranteed to be overrun by the "I only trust authentic filters" crowd who will thumb this down, but the truth is that the composition of HEPA filters isn't some trade secret.
Given equal composition and dimensions, the only characteristic that could possibly differ is the number of pleats one filter has over the other. More pleats offers more surface area and more filtering material, which creates a measurable difference in filtration.
There's some downsides to this, but for the sake of simplicity, that's pretty much all you need to look for when choosing a filter that will perform on par with the official ones.
The C545 (S) filters I get off Amazon come out to about $8 each and I swap them out every 4 months.
As for the carbon filters, those are primarily meant to absorb odor. They do help with pet hair, but you definitely do not need to change them as frequently as they're trying to sell them to you. Just vacuum them out, wash them, and toss them back in once dry.
The YouTube disassembly video is only 15min long, so it's pretty trivial. A smart move is to print screenshots from the video and match up where each screw goes.
For lube, Super Lube worked great.

That's fair, but if you don't *need* to replace them within a week, then it appears that your decision is driven by the need for instant gratification.
Nothing wrong with that as it's your choice, but your argument breaks down for the target audience. $13% premium for expedited shipping is a bit much.

The 545 uses S filters.
Count the pleats on the original filter and compare to the one pictured. Obviously, check the reviews.
SD removes Amazon links that fall under whatever criteria they have set, as well as other shady stuff, so I can't post one directly.

The ones I've used all come individually wrapped.
When it's time for a change, I put the purifier on turbo for at least an hour to make sure it's working properly.
Another possibility is that you're smelling the ionizer, perhaps?
