I own the Q990D, and while it's amazing, it's main feature is 120 Hz. The sound quality is basically identical.

Just bought....listen to the comments. Well worth it! I've seen a few comments about low bass output. I think a lot of that comes from bad placement and/or simply expecting too much out of the system for what it is. If nothing else, you can wire up another sub by tapping into the signal.

Great system for the price.
Based on my personal experience try using adaptive sound, spacefit sound, bass boost setting on then adjust individual channel levels to your preference depending on the room the system is in.
Then if bass is still not to your liking you can adjust the bass eq

I bought it last week. My previous one was JBL bar 9.1. quite similar in terms of SQ but satellites are much better in this compared to JBL. Jbl bass was heavier and more rumbly compared to this but I don't care about it that much overall I like this better, seems like a better device overall.

I've been using an HW-Q910B in a living room for the last couple years and have been really impressed with it, but admittedly, I had low expectations for a sound bar. I would like a little more bass in some movies than what it can do, but it's acceptable for my uses. My (old) receiver in the man cave just quit sending audio over the HDMI, so I'm picking this up while I verify the HDMI board is bad. If this performs as well as the 910B, I'll be happy. Should clean up the space around the TV considerably.
