What a waste of time. Only three gift cards mentioned by OP as examples are eligible for 15$ GC. The one with Home Depot is not part of the deal.

It would take some crazy spending at Target to make the 6% from this annual fee card beat the 5% from a free RedCard.

Maybe it could be due to the fact you have multiple accounts

The pack and go it's decent for folks that fill gas at chervon or use Airbnb a lot. Combine with US cash+ credit card to get additional 6% back ( or boa for up to 5.25% )….

How do you get 6% with US bank?

Yeah that's why I use mine for Best buy Walmart and wholesale. I got a red card / Amazon card . I'm looking for something that's an all round percent everywhere I shop at and a grocery card @5%

Maybe you can link to the "& More" instead of a specific gift card in OP...

For what it's worth my core is SoFi (2.2% with direct deposit in a SoFi bank account), Target RedCard debit, Amazon, and American Express Blue Cash Preferred (6% groceries up to $6000/yr with $100ish annual fee). I get 4% on dining on a couple cards that are harder to replicate -- Capital One Savor (I was grandfathered in from a previous card so no annual fee) and the Celtics Cardless (used primarily for season tickets but still gives 4% on dining with no annual fee).

The incremental $25 returns 20% in Target GC, how is that worse?

Didn't say it was "worse." The other deal was preferred if you didn't want to lock up $100 in a closed loop GC.

My bad for inferring that people would generally prefer the better option, making the less preferred one "worse" than the one they choose. I guess locking up $75 over $100 is a consideration if you buy 1 card. I'll be buying at least 4.

I'm currently with us bank but considering going to a credit union that offers 5% checking or fidelity CMA which has core position SPAXX 4.97% instead of money sweep for all funds coming in , the ideal is SPAXX is 41% local state tax free or or FDLXX which you can manually do which is 91% local state tax free.

Btw thanks for the card suggestions I will look at them . But ATM have 4/24 out the five so it's a tough call on number 5 ATM.

https://www.usbank.com/credit-car...-card.html This one without annual fee offers 5% cashback from US bank. It's only good for buying target giftcards since red card doesn't take 5% off its own store gift card. For the above sale a target red card should work just fine ( non credit reloadable debt with in store cash deposits ) .

Additionally I always max out the cash back for stuffs like buying fee free visa/master debt cards from like staples, without buying junks https://www.doctorofcredit.com/st...6-limit-5/

Xbox card is a good deal as you can spend it on hardware as well as games.
