I'm trying to switch to all electric. At the moment, I have a gas dryer. Does this thing plug into the same outlet? would I need a separate line or anything?

Thanks in advance.

Best of luck to anyone buying LG or Samsung appliances. Reliability is putrid, good luck finding repair technicians, and finding parts is a never ending saga with the Korean brands. So many better options out there, but it is definitely not the Korean manufacturers of any appliance.
Agree on Samsung, not lg. My lg setup 15 years old. I have repaired it myself 2 times. Parts are easy to get and at least in my area service techs. That is not the case for Samsung, they have no repair network. I would also consider whirlpool but I try to get stuff made in the US and whirlpool likes Mexico and lg believe it or not was made in the us. So ymmv. Can't say for every model and I'm only talking washer dryer.

Dryer will need 230v so if you don't have a dryer outlet open your wallet.. You do realize gas is vastly cheaper than a non heat pump dryer like this to run? If you are absolutely gung ho on all electric and don't have 230v then consider one of the overpriced sure to fail heat pump ones which will run on 120v.

Is the sidekick washer good? Tempting for this option but always afraid it will be break easily…
I don't have it yet but it's on the way. I figured this is through Costco and is protected for the next few years, so you can always get it replaced or refunded. The research and reviews definitely bought me into confidence to give it a shot specially when they cost the same as storage pedestal.

I'd get the LG WashTower over this, as long as you don't need them side by side.
as someone who has (i think either this very same set of the previous gen) this washer/dryer. you don't realize the size of the this. there is no stack machine that can match the it if you need that capacity.

apples and oranges.

Does anyone has experience on sending at 2 different address. I want to order 2. One lg washtower and one WD. Want to ship to two different addresses but want to do it via one order to get max discount. On the order page it says "items are required to be shipping to same address" alert. Even if I select two different address for two separate WD, it only shows one address in confirmation page.

I had originally bought the WM4000 washer and matching gas dryer with Home Depot for $2700. Including installation, pedestals, and 5 year protection.

Then I found this deal and bought a Costco membership to hopefully get a better deal. But nearly all of the gas dryers are out of stock with Costco. Anyone know if they will refund me my membership? They didn't show as out of stock until I bought the membership so I could see the price.

Then I learned about the LG partner store and got the same WM4000 and matching gas dryer with one pedestal and one sidekick for $1600. Including installation and 4 years of protection. On top of that, Amex will give me another $100 cash back.

It's the best reviewed model based on my research. The new models with the singular knob with no writing are too new to be established as good or reliable I think.
Thanks for the inputs . I was trying to build something similar . Looks like the pedestal for dryer is out of stock in white . Do you know which one is compatible with this dryer ? WDP4W or WDP6W ?

I got the 6. Weirdly enough the black color option is the only one that doesn't allow you to select the installation service for the pedestal. White and stainless steel work just fine.

Agreed. Why anybody would willingly replace gas with electric is beyond me.

The prices are already dropping to $1500- ish on sale...just got in on the LG AIO Costco deal with a nice stove for $2100 delivered. HD/Lowes similiar. Where is your "sure to fail" evidence, I guess 40yrs+ technology is too "New" for you huh? Most reviews regarding AIOs are pretty positive and they've been out for over a year now

To my knowledge their washer/dryers are top tier.
I can share my experience. My LG washer had two major water leaks- one from a water fill valve and another from that huge door gasket. The water extraction pump also failed- twice. (The first replacement pump was aftermarket, so the second fail isn't on LG). The dryer had zero issues. The pair is 16 years old by now, maybe their quality improved.
And don't get me started on my LG fridge bought at the same time. It was awful.

Nearly 3 year old model. Why would anyone buy this when the AIO models from GE LG and Samsung are going for the same price and gets refundable 30% tax rebate?

Price adjustment at Costco works within 30 days. What are my options as I bought it about 60 days back?
