Or... did it always run at like 20FPS? Either way, it's kinda funny trying to play a decidedly fast-paced pinball game at 20FPS with a bunch of input delay.
The Phantasy Star games are awesome if you like RPGs, but they didn't age all that well.

Phantasy Star 4 has aged well. The music from the entire series has aged well - I recommend this site for a good Phantasy Star 2 remix album and other Sega remixes (site definitely has a retro look to it with old timey URL to boot): https://jansen7183.wixs
