Walmart bought Vizio so they could push out their own advertisements all over it.

Only worth it if you plan on replacing in a few years. The QA at Vizio is horrendous

The Vizio of today is not the Vizio of 10 years ago. They have terrible quality control issues. I bought a TV for a friend, and the screen kept going out within the first couple days, to where she had to unplug the TV and plug it back in to get image again. I exchanged the TV and the exact same thing happened with the other one. My sister also has a Vizio from about 2 years ago and she said her picture cuts out for a couple seconds at a time while playing video games. Their TVs also get super laggy.

Their sound systems are trash, too. I had a Vizio 5.1.2 sound system and I had to reconnect it weekly, and there were so many times where it wouldn't let me control the volume if I changed inputs on my TV, so I would have to either go into the app and switch the soundbar's input back and forth or turn it off and on to get control over the volume again.

Vizio is just such a junk brand. There's no such thing as a good TV this large, for this cheap.

Is this a recent development? I've had good luck with the few I've dealt with, and some of my friends have Vizios that have outlasted the Samsung, TCL, etc. TVs that were purchased to replace the Vizios.

I've not dealt with one newer than about 5 years old or so though.
