That's the old versions of the game. Reloaded plays like P5 in the city, just less stuff to do.

I'd say yes, but more focused on side characters at the beginning instead of your main team/ Doing track, hanging out with randos you met at school, etc.

I got hooked by playing persona 5 Royal too. Note that the gameplay for persona 3 is different in terms of walking around the game and selecting things to investigate. It is more like your character isn't shown walking and the mouse pointer is your character. Maybe look at a YouTube video of the game to see. Persona 4 is more like persona 5 in terms of actual gameplay.

Looks like the lowest price it's ever been. I'll continue to wait until it hits $20. I was able to get Star Ocean: The Second Story R for $20 on Offerup. Was hoping to find some local around me on Offerup to use this deal as leverage to get a used one, but I have a huge backlog anyways.

Good deal if anyone was waiting. Huge P5R Fan!

Persona 5 Royal is the newer and more advanced game. Persona 3 (Reload) is more linear, more focused on the main story. Some people prefer P3's story, which is its only "strength" over P5, so if you focus on the social sim aspect of Persona you'll find P3 more boring than P5.

Persona 3: Reload will play very similar to Persona 5 since the developers now know what gameplay mechanics are popular with the masses to appeal to a broad range of audiences. This wasn't the case with the vanilla version of P3: Persona 3 (2006). The developers hadn't hit their stride yet with the series "That came with Persona 4." The original was rough around the edges and had undesirable features like you could only control your main character (Makoto) in battle and the rest of your party did as they please, but you could issue general tactics for them to take

That's the Portable version originally designed for PSP. They opted to port this version to modern consoles instead of the original game or the enhanced FES version. The original P3 on PS2 actually had you walking around similar to P4.

This is a total modern remake in a similar style to P5.
