These hardly go on sale or ever have this good of a rebate. I just bought one and didn't even have to submit a rebate, the store just applied the rebate and sold it to me at $200 off. Out the door with a $35 delivery fee, $23 hose and haul away service I paid $1327.

This is the best model in terms of cleaning power.

Respectfully to wherever you see those reviews ( including consumer reports).... they are full of shit.

I've owned a TC5 since 2021 and it's a beast. Any stain I pretreat lifted. Hot water and soak work exactly like they're supposed too. Basic cleaning works just fine. Delicate setting has not ripped one piece of clothing despite the bullshit online (that I didn't believe to begin with).

The only thing missing from this model is a low water setting. That's the EPA's doing forcing all the loopholes Speed Queen had to jump through to keep selling this washer version. Idiots.

I will never use a different brand if I have the option. Ignore those reviews. Wash clothes properly and they'll come out clean.
I have the TC5 since 2021 as well. The cleaning performance and the build quality/vibration reduction are good, but it definitely tears my clothes and I have to use laundry bags. And no, I never overload my washers. It's also adviced to use the Bulky/Sheet cycle instead of the Delicate Cycle because the agitation time is way too short during the Delicate Cycle. Another cycle to avoid is the Normal Cycle as it will not deep fill even when the option is turned on and you should use the Permanent Press cycle instead.

EPA only tests NORMAL mode. Just across all manufacturers normal cycle uses lowest water. As a consumer we never use normal to get better wash ( yes more more water or extra cycles used)

I have this exact washer since 2021 - now they give a way better warranty for it.
On mine the lid lock can be disabled quite easily.
It cleans everything perfectly, better than any washer I've used in the past has.
The tub is ENORMOUS - I can even fit a queen size comforter in this baby.
Only downside is it is a bit loud, but it doesn't bother me. Apparently it has an actual transmission in it that isn't made of plastic?? Wild.
These were sold out for almost a year in 2021, price also jumped, but this price brings it back to where it should be with inflation.

Incredibly durable and reliable, but terribly inefficient with electricity and the amount of water it uses.
If you can find one of almost any brand, just buy a washer from the 80 or 90s and it will do the same thing as this for a thousand+ less.

The fact is, farmers/agriculture uses 60-90% of the water in all lower 49 states, without restriction for conservation. They are the ones who need to start conserving... not residential households.

I rarely post here, but we have this washer and it's fantastic. The cycle is only 27 minutes long, which makes my laundry day so much shorter. The Speed Queen gets our clothes so much cleaner than our old HE Maytag that kept breaking and clogging. If you want to test one for yourself they have these at a lot of laundromats.

SpeedQueen is legit. I own a business where we do 2-3 full loads 5x a week, using a non-commercial SQ washer and dryer. Never had issues. I also have one in my home that sees use 3x weekly and never had issues. The reason these are so good, is that they are top loading and they have no complicated electronics to fail. Built in Wisconsin, one of the few quality American products.

whenever someone talks about efficiency on slickdeals, it's safe to assume they are talking about their own utility costs

I got a front load washer that has been so dang good that I've been forced to use LESS detergent else it'll get stuck on trying to remove the suds. Never thought I'd be a cold-water washer but here I am.

I can't agree with your assessment outside of the potential for durability
Yep, in actual tests front load/HE machines do much better when it comes to stain removal and overall cleanliness vs top load machines because of the more effective targeting of the soap and the ability to run multiple rinses in a short amount of time.
Top loaders will last forever but front loading isnt just a fad, its a proven way to wash clothes much better.

Speed Queen ain't what it used to be. Just like Maytag.
Everyone does realize Speed Queen was bought out by a hedge fund. Corner cutting has started and warranty shortened.

Its harder to tell Farmers to say "make less food" than it is to control the residential market I think.
