Last time they had a deal on this set someone complained that they received all the weights except the pair of 45 lbs plates. Thinking they made an error he called Walmart customer service to complain and they expedited a new set to him. He then received the pair of 45 plates in an individual shipment and later received an entire other set, but also in two shipments. Apparently they didn't mess up his order they just ship the 45 plates separately from the others for some reason. I'm sure he's on the top of his delivery driver's hit list at this point

I highly recommend against buying this set. I bought the set and regretted it. It's made with recycled rubber and smells toxic. I would pay a little more and get a virgin rubber or cast iron set instead.

I just cancelled my order (odor?) I looked through some reviews saying the smell didn't go away after 3 months of trying everything. Wife and kids will make me put these in the dumpster if it makes the house smell. I think I'll just get a cast iron set and splurge on better quality 45lbs bumpers

Wiped mine really well when I got them. They still smelled for about a month. No smell now. I like them. Paid $190 on the prior deal.

I have these and have no smell if that helps anyone. My weights are in the garage and I'm from the south. I didn't do anything special to them.

With all these rubber products directly from some other countries you're going to get this smell. Have to let them air out really good, but only if the deal is worth it to you.

This was a deal at $260. Then the price dropped to $230 not long ago. Now it's at $200. For bumper plates, you won't get a better deal. Bear in mind, if you order the plates, they come separately across many days. Be patient and you'll get them all. They also have a smell. Make sure to wash them thoroughly before your first use. The smell will dissipate after a time.

I can highly recommend Vulcan "Alpha" bumper plates. I was concerned about smell when building out a home gym, and Alpha plates had a lot of really good reviews for that. They are phenomenal! I don't remember much of a noticeable smell even brand new. They are not a "slick" deal (aka not cheap), but figured I'd mention them.

I just bought the 100lb and barbell set (I'm not ready to press more than my body weight!).

Was cheaper than used bumpers on FB marketplace, but yes they do stink. I have left mine outside for a few days to off gas. Will probably wash them if that might help.

These are awful. Not only do they smell, but also were coated with a residue of who-knows-what. And the slightest scrape will lead to the rubber rubbing off, spreading carcinogenic particles. Returned them. Should have known better.
