I just set them up yesterday and they work like a charm. Since they're 6E the nodes must not be set too far apart or you could run into trouble.

It seems like his main gripe is with the security of the Amazon eero units. I'm not that concerned with security and I find they work well with easy setup. I returned an Asus set he recommended because they were incredibly difficult to pair and set up.
