FWIW I've been getting along just fine using corks from wine and liquor bottles. If you're sticking a beer in the fridge for a few days, a firmly pressed cork isn't going anywhere. I do this with champagne too, it stays fizzy for a week+. Done it dozens of times, never had a cork pop out.

This is a super highly rated product, and thought of by many as one of the best bottle openers in the world.

Do you need a resealler for a 12oz bottle of Coors Light? No. Do you maybe need/want one for a 750ml bottle of some Belgian quad you don't want to finish in one go? Yeah, maybe.

I use mine for big imperial stouts that are not heavily carbed to begin with. If you for some reason are trying to reseal an ipa or lager (not that much of these are in bottles anymore anyway) its not going to do a very good job. This is a niche item for folks with particular tastes and habits with beer. If you're looking at this and wondering "what is this for?" then its not for you like it isn't for 99% of people. However if you are in that 1% of people this item is actually useful for, you'd probably already have one. I have 3. I had more at some point but they have a habit of walking away. This is a good price, I think they were $15 and sold out for MONTHS when they hit the market like 10 years ago.
Alright, thanks, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on some life hack for beer. I definitely like mine bubbly

This is just the thing for my bottles of OE. Now I don't have to pour some out for my homies who couldn't be there. honestly F those unsocial punks anyway.

I guess this generation can't finish a beer. We're raising a nation of squibs.

Thought it resealed the original cap on, that'd be great. Have to leave this clunky thing on the bottle.

From the video it looks like you can also use it to wrench open twist off caps

Ran to the comments to ask the same thing. Its like, why would anyone ever need one of those stoppers to seal a bottle of wine. Just COMMIT.

Just checked Amazon, price went up to 9.99. Then before I could purchase, Price jumped to 12. I did find another seller for 9.95. I bought that and the Japanese opener.

I've had one of these for many years, and while I don't use it super often, it comes in handy and works well when I need it

I swear by these for resealing larger format bottles that are just too much to drink in one sitting. The carb on beers will last 1-2 days in the fridge. The hermetus won't fit very well over the larger 750ml bottles with the particularly thick mouths. But even so, an excellent product. One of the best tools in beer.
