What about the other 4 functions an adjustable wrench doesn't perform?

Not to mention this is purpose built, smaller, lighter, fits in awkward spaces and has a very low chance to mar up high $$$ faucet. But yes, there are jack of all trades, master of none solutions out there. For a homeowner that might need to remove 1 aerator per decade an adjustable wrench would work fine (assuming the fitting isn't recessed). For $4 though, this is a pretty cheap option as well. Especially if you do it often enough to actually want a tool that was designed around a certain function.

I swear some people's tool box seems like it only contains a 2lb mallet, a 10-in-1 (missing 3 bits, 3-4 more completely stripped), and a 12" channellock to cover everything from roof repair to changing brakes. "I know enough to be dangerous" you hear them declare

Edit: you probably have an aerator key under your sink if you live in a newer house or had a professional replace the faucet in the last 5-10 years. Many people have no idea what that little blue thing is zip tied to their supply line [aquaterior.com].
It's $4.88. Where do you think its made....

An a adjustable wrench seems to be way better. This thing seems to be a waste of money since it does it fit all sizes
Not a water of money if it fits the size(s) you need, and a crescent wrench isn't ideal when you have nothing external for it to grab or the external surface is round. Not for you I guess, but it is helpful for some people under certain circumstances.

This feels like a tool that I'll never find when I need it, after picking it up from a Slickdeals, just in case.

Thanks! Was just looking at this last week.

I don't know why everyone is being so crabby, it solves a problem for under $5 and if you need it you need it. Who cares if it's made in China? So was the aerator it's going to work on. You're probably going to use this only a dozen times before you replace the faucet anyway.
