https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/motion/stutter it does matter! Read about judder

While a 120Hz TV doesn't inherently produce better motion, it can provide a few advantages over standard 60Hz TVs. One of the most important advantages is the ability to play back content that is meant to be displayed at 24 fps, which is often found in movies. Most TVs can simply lower their own refresh rate to 24Hz when the content is 24 fps, but some sources, such as Chromecast, output video at 60 fps, even if the content is 24 fps. This means that the TV's refresh rate remains at 60Hz, and motion won't appear smooth, which is an effect called judder. A 60Hz TV has trouble removing 24 fps judder because 60 isn't a multiple of 24. To display this type of content, a technique known as a "3:2 pulldown" is used. Basically, 12 of the 24 frames repeat three times, while the other 12 repeat twice, totaling 60 frames. Not everybody notices this, but it causes some scenes, notably panning shots, to appear juddery. However, 120Hz TVs have an advantage here because they can simply display each frame five times since 120 is a multiple of 24.
Well then you've made a grievous error clicking this link
maybe just use a GoogleTV hooked up to it instead of the on-board cpu?

also when you say "garbage tvs" is it for this specific model, or any of the thousands of other models from years past? Things change so I'd like to hear where your opinion is formed from.

Dang I got the Hisense U7 75 deal yesterday for $798. If I saw this before I may have jumped on it instead, is the U7 worth $300 more than this?

I'd say no. 300 bucks is 40% more and I can't see it being that much better.

I have the class 5,which was rtings best budget TV for a long time until you couldn't buy it anymore. They say this one is actually better than that one.

I've had TCL tvs for almost 12 years now and haven't had a single one fail.

Also, if you have a discover card, Walmart is 5%. So this makes it another 25 bucks "cheaper" .

This is a no brainer

Garbage tvs. Major quality issues. Works fine the first year then multiple issues such as tv won't turn on, remote commands to tv will work when they want to. Other app integration commands and functions won't work. E.g if your on YouTube and go to comments section, the screen will turn black.

Have a Samsung TU690T 75" currently that I picked up back in 2022, have never been happy with it, too dark, UI is trash and only 2 HDMI ports. This looks like a good replacement, I'm in, thx op.

Also like that this does 120Hz at 1440p and has vrr according to rtings review.

"The TCL Q6/Q650G QLED is much better than the Samsung TU690T. The TCL gets a lot brighter, so it can handle more glare in a bright room, and HDR content looks more vivid and punchy. The TCL also supports more advanced gaming features, including support for VRR and 120Hz gaming at 1080p or 1440p, whereas the Samsung is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate."

Once you go 120 you never go back
A lot of people say that but I just don't see it. I've had 120 and 240 TVs and the two that are in my home currently a Vizio and a TCL are both 60 and I honestly can't tell the difference with any of them even watching 240 side by side with a 60 in the past. I think if you're a gamer you get much more benefit from a higher refresh rate, but for simple TV programs or movies I honestly can't tell the difference and it's just not worth it to spend the extra money. But that's just me others May view it differently when they're watching these tvs.

I guess it depends on how picky you are. Rtings.com scores the U7K series much higher in all the rated categories.

Well, guess what... I had the exact same experience except with a upper level Sony.
*I guess The Sony Tax is not worth it.

Are you saying the boost to 120 hz of this tv is sufficient, or are you saying the native refresh rate of this tv is not as good as 120 hz native?

I have the same question. I know the rtings reviews shows the Hisense being much better, but for my daily usage in the family room I'm wondering if I could even tell a difference. Some other comments about the Hisense QC/longevity also concerns me.

Edit: I did more searching and it does sound like the Hisense is worth the extra $300.

Meh, i paid the same price at best buy for the 120hz version albeit a 65" a while back. However, I will say the picture quality is fantastic on this television and the HDR really stands out.
