PSA: Newegg is selling two "versions" of this drive, this one at $81 (TLC, better) and another at $92 (QLC, worse).

Check the specs because they are different drives and quality. The $81 (TLC) one has greater write endurance (1600 vs 600 TB).

Verify the specs wherever you buy this drive from, and verify everything after you've received it too. They are different products, not different iterations of the same product.

TLC, better: T253TZ002T0C101
QLC, worse: T253TY002T0C101

Edit: clarified language.

Stupid question, I put one in 5 different external enclosures and docks and it doesn't show up in windows 10, is it busted or is there a step I'm missing?

Try downloading the free version of mini partition tool and see if it shows up there when plugged in. It may just be formatted incorrectly.

Thanks and repped, will try that. I'm not even sure how to format if it doesn't get recognized, or show in my PC.

New drives show up in windows disk manager. You need to create a partition and make it active if i remember correctly. Then windows assigns a letter or you can choose not to assign.

Thanks OP got 2... This is also listed on Walmart.com from NewEgg for the same price.

Discover IT cashback has 5% cashback at Walmart.com this quarter, double dip with another cashback site for an additional cashback bump.

It should show all the drives connected to the PC. If you see the new drive, you can right click on it and format it. Do not accidently format your C: drive or any others you have with data!

It's just a shame though that Newegg has gone to crap over the last few years....

Different risks you run with Amazon on drives and whatnot obviously, but Newegg just isn't what they used to be.
