Project Farm did testing on the Platinum oil. It performed worse a lot of times than even the regular Full Synthetic from Pennzoil. The best was Ultra Platinum.

Used this very same Pennzoil in combination with non-detergent BJs gasoline for 3 years and my car started burning oil. Opened the spark plugs and there was a lot of soot inside. Not sure if gas or oil caused it, or combination of the two, but I am not getting this oil again, especially after the project farm comparison video.

BJs is not a Top-Tier fuel. I was very surprised by PFs test results.

Tried several times in the past to get the rebate from Pennzoil, but never got any of them.

I buy Pennzoil for the quality, not the rebates.... But it would be nice if they actually followed through with their offer.

Rebates are pretty much circle-jerk vaporware as far as im concerned. YMMV.

I've done the Pennzoil rebates for the last three years and have received my gift card within a month of submission every time. Buying off the shelf at Walmart B&M and not online is the way to go.

I've seen the PF video, but any oil with API SP service category and GM dexos 1, Gen 3 certification is good enough for me. Even the Kirkland/Walmart Supertech/Amazon Basics offerings meet that criteria, so not concerned about Pennzoil.

I have had no problem with rebates over the past 3 years from pennzoil, purchased instore at Walmart. I had to resubmit one , but that was my fault. You can track the status online. Take a picture of the receipt, and upload it, fill out the proper online form and Boom, 1 to 2 months later I get my walmart gift card. ** My problem is, remembering to use the gift cards Frown

I attempted this rebate last year. I forget the exact reason but I was denied , I corrected the issue and submitted again and never heard back from them. I no longer rely on rebates .

These Pennzoil rebates are legit. always comes in faster than my Mobil ones.
