I'd buy if they went to 53lbs. And use them all the time...

Read the one star reviews. Same problem a lot of adjustable dumbbells in this price class have: the plates come loose and fall on you.

These adjustables are getting cheaper and cheaper. Now $2/lb. Waiting for less.

The cheapest well rated ones that I've researched are roughly $360 for 50-55lb dumbbells.

Core fitness, bowflex 552, powerblock elite and a few others were what I saw recc'd on reddit

These will probably last most people a life time. I have a set coming today. I've been working out since I was 12 and I'm now 51 so I don't need a lot of weight. For $200 it looks like a good set. I'm going to try to review them on YouTube.

Hmm, I don't know about that.

I haven't been working out long and I'm 60 years old. I overhead press 50 pound dumbells, bench press 60 pound dumbells and use a 75 pound dumbell for my chest pullovers. And I'm not a big guy.

I bought this last time it was on sale. So far, the equipment works very well. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I ordered these and they came in yesterday, and I will be returning them this weekend. Out of the box, one of the handles didn't work - it grabs the wrong amount of weight. They also feel very cheap (low-quality plastic).

Mine delivered yesterday. I really enjoy this set and it's quite easy to adjust the weights.
