Has anybody seen somewhere where they no longer use nickel for the charging connectors on the Buds 3 pro? The Buds pro 2 gave me ear infections from this. I can't find anything on this pair.

I decided to keep my buds2 pro. I will instead send a cheap bluetooth earbuds (QCY-T1C) for $50 credit. With the smaller trade-in credit of $50, education discount of $37.5 was applied. ($12.5 more); so the effective difference is only $37.5
I don't know if my ears will fit well with buds3 pro, and my buds2 pro works still fine after 2 years of usage. I can keep it for back-up or for future trade-in purpose. probably for buds4 pro lol

I suspect that I have allergic reaction to nickel. (serious blistering when using specific computer mouse with metal wheels). I had issue with Bud 2 (not pro) but I was okay with Bud 2 pro. I had watery and itch ear back then.

What I do to change the volume is to touch the bump of skin called the tragus (google images of it see what I'm referring to). When I touch my skin instead of the actual Buds2Pro, it activates the volume control. Works perfectly! Good luck.
