Overview: If Samsung is processing trade-ins like prior deals, you will receive instructions by email--along with a prepaid shipping label--around the time your new Buds arrives. You can also print the label from your online Samsung account.
You will send in the old earbuds/headphones only (no boxes, chargers, cases, etc.). Good practice: Make a VIDEO and take photos of the trade-in to prove the condition if Samsung challenges you after inspecting it.
When/how will I get instructions for trading in my device? Samsung will send you an email with the subject "Welcome to the Samsung Trade-In Program." The email will arrive anywhere from the day the new Buds ships to a few days after the Buds arrives. It includes a link to download a pre-paid shipping label. You have 15 days from receipt of the email to ship the trade in. You can also get the shipping label for the trade in from your online Samsung account under order details.

But I don't know if it's conclusive that the nickle was the problem. Many on R/Galaxybuds think it was the rubber they used, but I don't think anyone knows for sure.

Have traded in several devices with a couple of rejections. One I couldn't bother to appeal as they sent me back the watch saying it wasn't working (watch just lost its charge, which I successfully used for a future trade in), the other I appealed as they said they didn't receive the device and I won that appeal after proving I sent it in.
Sooo tempting as I can get it for $74 all in, but I'm literally neck deep in Apple products and might as well put that amount towards AirPod Pros 2.

I like the 1st Gen pros because of the shiny mirror finish lol.
These look like robocop ate a bunch of airpods and took a tiny crap lol.
