Overview: If Samsung is processing trade-ins like prior deals, you will receive instructions by email--along with a prepaid shipping label--around the time your new Buds arrives. You can also print the label from your online Samsung account.
You will send in the old earbuds/headphones only (no boxes, chargers, cases, etc.). Good practice: Make a VIDEO and take photos of the trade-in to prove the condition if Samsung challenges you after inspecting it.
When/how will I get instructions for trading in my device? Samsung will send you an email with the subject "Welcome to the Samsung Trade-In Program." The email will arrive anywhere from the day the new Buds ships to a few days after the Buds arrives. It includes a link to download a pre-paid shipping label. You have 15 days from receipt of the email to ship the trade in. You can also get the shipping label for the trade in from your online Samsung account under order details.

Ideally you could just trade in an existing pair. You could look for a used pair on ebay. As long as they function.
Today, I called customer support about my pre-order and the case. They said the case is now out of stock but since they didn't list that it was a limited time offer until supplies last, they'll send me a promo code equivalent to the case ($29.99) once my buds are delivered. I didn't need screenshots as proof either. Good luck, friends!
Talked to a samsung rep just now and she requested a promo code for me. It was super smooth - I didn't have to send screenshots or do anything.

I had $100 promo code so I was able to get this deal with the Samsung Care Essential - 2 year plan for completely free!
Thing is anytime they say this, they generally doesn't pay out the cash back stating it was some or other fault from my side. Whereas I clearly added the item to cart through my EPP account, then clicked Samsung link on cash back site and then placed the order. Next time, I will record the interaction to prevent them from wiggling out from paying out.
