This isn't the greatest deal compared to gray-market sites like CDKeys [cdkeys.com] or Eneba [eneba.com], especially if you have a VPN and can redeem international codes, but for firsthand USA codes this is pretty much as good as it gets.

You can also read about the recent GamePass price changes here [xbox.com], which take effect today. Ultimate will go up to $19.99 per month, while Core will go up to $74.99 a year.

Note that for new subscribers, the conversion ratio from GamePass Core to GamePass Ultimate [xbox.com] is still 3:2, but this ratio can be changed at any time.

Is this the cheapest way to add additional months to an existing ultimate subscription? Mine ends in September, can I get codes from aneba or CDKeys and add to my existing, or should I just go for this newegg deal?

I've heard it's better to let your existing ultimate expire then the core to ultimate conversion is more favorable. But I'm tempted to get this just because I'm paranoid that MS will bring an end to that somehow.

Thanks for posting. My gamepass ran out literally last night and I was looking for codes. I decided the couple bucks over other sites was worth not having any worry. If curious, I purchased 3 cards/codes in one order, and the discount code took $33 off of final price for a final cost of $147.


Update - Codes delivered in about 2 minutes.

We all knew that after MS spent billions of dollars to acquire Activision and promises of their titles on GamePass that a price increase was coming. Having a date for that promised library to be available would have lessened the blow, though.
