I probably should clarify that this is an ideal mower for someone with 0.5-1.0 acre. Normally, you have two options for a yard that big

1.Push Mower -1-2 hours with self propelled 22 inch mower(about the max width you'll find)

2.Riding Mower 0.5 hours - but no exercise and RIP Garage space

25" deck on this unit is unique and will cut mow time 20-30%, and it can be stored vertical so takes up less space than a bike.

It's highly rated model and the batteries alone retail for >$150 each. This is about the cheapest you'll find this mower.

TL/DR: This mower is ideal for ppl with bigger yards.

FYI: This is the 60V model. If you have Greenwork Batteries of different voltage(84V, 80V, 40V, etc) They will NOT work in this mower. Even if you modify the case to slide in, no Bueno. I have no idea why Greenworks has so many different voltage products.

Craftsman had a 60V line of yard tools, eg mower, chainsaw, blower, etc, and then just pulled the plug on them (so to speak).

I snagged the 60V blower (with battery and charger) on clearance at Lowe's for about $60 a few years ago, and it's nice. But glad I didn't get the mower!

I picked up Mower, Blower, Chainsaw, and Hedge Trimmer during that ~75% clearance. All still working except one 2.5AH battery. So I have about 4 batteries left including the 7.5AH that came with the Mower.

Sounds like you're all set, congrats! Can't believe how expensive some of these electric mowers are.

I bought a Hart 40V push mower from Walmart with a 6Ah battery and bonus free quick charger for about $160, and it's been great for over 2 years now.

Imo the key to any of these battery powered mowers is to keep the blade sharp. Just a few minutes with a quality mill bastard file is all it takes.

I'm sure it's a fine mower, and a deal for the very scenario you described.
Didn't mean to highjack your thread!
Greenworks has a good rep in Li-Ion powered tools...better than Craftsman these days!

Have 2 of the 21 inch self propelled. I purchased the first one in 2020 on clearance for $190. It has worked great. Last year, Tractor Supply had a newer model with two batteries and a charger for $400 and I purchased it for the batteries and for whenever the first one stopped working. My son keeps telling me to give it to him but nope.

I've owned this mower for 4 years now and it's fantastic. Got two 4ah batteries for it, but one will do everything I need on 1/3 acre with about 25% charge left (I don't use the self-propel).

That being said, the fact that 60V tools are rare with Greenworks is frustrating. I went all Ryobi with everything else due to this fact.

I understand that there are advantages and disadvantages of going up and down voltage levels, so there surely is a situation where you'd prefer to have 60v tools than 24v or 40v or 80v tools. But from a business perspective is it really beneficial to Greenworks to have four different lines of batteries and lawn tools? Wouldn't they be better off skipping the 60v line allowing them to better consolidate their efforts on the other voltage levels?

I got this same bundle from Greenworks in 2022, when they ran it for 420.00 (452 total). I was able to get a 2.0ah battery on Mercari for 45 bucks and a 5.0ah Bluetooth battery direct from Greenworks for 114 last year on a sale they ran. Mower is great cuts up grass really fine. There is not side exhaust, so on first season high\thick grass lawns, it can sometimes bog down the blades if you don't have the clearance high enough, if your not bagging it. Turbo mode does help with this occurs.

Waiting on the 80v 25" with larger batteries to go on sale. I have had the 21" for 4 years and it's been great but the batteries are not lasting as long as they use to. Upgrading to 25" will save me significant time and 2 passes instead of 3 on the devil strip of my corner property

I've had the 21" self-propelled for 4 years. No degradation in run time but I do have 4 x 4a in rotation. I can mow the yard 1 acre and still have enough left to edge or use the blower, but not both. Batteries are warrantied for 4 years so no worries. What I love:

- Really quiet
- Get 2 houses away and you can't hear me mowing
- Headlights so you can mow before sunrise or after sun down, great in the summer
- Mover weighs noticeably less than an ICE mower
- Self-propelling has a thumb throttle so go as fast as a normal human can walk or take your time
- Factory blade is mulching so no bagging
- No more trips to the gas station to get gas
- No end of season tune-ups, oil changes or winterizing
- Folds and stores vertically
- 60v is SUPER powerful and fully supported tool set
- I've cut 6" tall fescue after returning from vacation using the "turbo" button
- I have the mower, blower and trimmer

I have this mower, bought it for about $40 less from Greenworks during a sale and a text exclusive promocode during the first week of December 2023. It replaced a 21" 40V that was still working fine.

It is a notable upgrade from the 40v. I have 0.45 acre that would eat through about 4 to 6 (4 x 4ah and 2 x 2ah) batteries on the 40v...some of those are probably degraded over time I'm sure. The 60v with the wider deck does the whole thing on two 4ah and I finish about 30% faster due to the larger deck.

If you are looking to load up on additional tools and batteries, I would recommend joining their rewards and sign up for text and email in November and then disable all of it late December...they will spam the crap out of you, but they send daily flash deals like I got this mower with. The other good thing about their rewards, is they give you points toward purchases and I was able to buy some additional batteries with all the points I got from the mower. Their refirb batteries are fairly priced and hold up well.
