Great deal, but also a case of getting what you pay for.
That ridiculously low price for an rtx 4080 laptop that doesn't skimp out too hard on stuff like ram etc mostly makes this very slick.
I was reading/watching a few reviews and the takeaways are that even amongst other hot and noisy rtx 4080 gaming laptops, this Acer underperforms (GPU runs about ~15-25 watts below Nvidia spec) and is still crazy loud (60dB+). Even if you do not tweak voltage boost pl1 & pl2 etc settings to get the laptop performing in a manner more comparable to the 4080 competition, throttling is inevitable because the cooling simply can't keep up (no vapor chamber).
Basically you're getting roughly desktop 4060ti performance but with 12GB vram, decent screen, good cpu and ram, decent keyboard that has numpad, and a lot of your time spent tweaking this thing so you can enjoy using it for (AAA) gaming without insane noise and/or throttling.
For the price, definitely a good deal worth considering. I'm tempted but nah.
