Almost every game I play pisses me off at some point even if I end up loving it overall. The last game that didn't do this was the Avatar open world game. Fantastic masterpiece that is criminally overlooked. This is a tangent though, sorry.
I just want people to know where this is coming from. I see a lot of games get ragged on that are actually good games, just gamers come in with the wrong expectations. Usually I'm vindicated at some point, like 2077 and D4, which despite what people think are still 95% the same as when they were released, people just take a long time to pull their heads out.
So my opinion is that Suicide squad is ragged on because that's the thing to do to live service games, and at the same time they made the game a looter shooter and that just isn't what people want. But it's a fking solid looter shooter with some cool abilities and loot system, and the single player campaign is short but sweet. The gameplay is just good, facts. Traversal, abilities, gunplay, encounters, music, story, banter, all done well.
Do yourself a favor, get over the bullshit, and run through the campaign at least.
