Does anyone have experience with Shark WD100 HydroVac 3-in-1 Vacuum, S&D? Does it clean/eliminate odors from carpets effectively?

Those vacuums are for hard floors. I know it says it can do carpets, but it's mostly just area rugs

I'm deciding between the UV700 and UV850. Anyone own one of these to chime in if you like them or not?

Works well on area rugs for eliminating odors?

I've had a Shark upright vacuum (discontinued model NV90 rotator lift-away) for almost 11 years now. It hasn't lost suction and still works great. I recommend Shark vacuums to friends and family because they work great and aren't crazy expensive like other brands. I don't have any knowledge of the Shark robotic cleaners though.

I've now had 2 bad experiences with "refurbished" vacuums from woot. These seem to be categorized as scratch and dent though.

The problem with refurbished is that they are still "used". The manufacturer or someone authorized simply fixes the known issue and you're left with used still with potential issues elsewhere.

The last one of these I bought started smoking on the 2nd use. I know duds happen when a company makes millions of products.

With that said, I decided to go cordless and buy a Dyson after. Best decision of my life, as is the case with almost anything I've gone cordless with. Some websites offer payment plans fwiw.

Suction is the same, portability and function 100x better with the Dyson.
Let's hope you got it from Costco for anytime returns. Dyson's don't seem to last too many years either

You do realize dyson is a scam Company built upon selling using big words like "cyclone" to claim non existant science that their stuff works. Seems to have been more successful at selling housewives bright colored items than anything tho. Which would have bee their target audience since the men who can afford them probably work at engineering jobs an if they understood housework could have seen thru it. I even bought a famous vac of theirs that was "allergen" an "hepa" an it didn't even have the ability to seal properly by design an you could easily see where it was spraying dirt into the air like a fan.

Hell no wonder they also sell fans now.

But anything could be better than a shark. So even my dyson animal spraying dirt into the air would work better than some cheap vac with no high powered roller an suction
Their vacs seem decent, though, but that does suck about yours shooting out dust. I'd be pissed too.
The V8 Animal is the best vac I've owned to date, save for maybe an old Electrolux. As of yet, I haven't had any issue with dust shooting out of canister. The Karcher VCN 3 I bought shoots dust out, and so does my Makita stick vac, so idk. Had my Dyson done that, I would've returned right away as that would be unacceptable for the price.

The vacuums in this post are a POS at a POS price point.

There is nothing wrong with Dyson and their prices aren't that crazy.
