You can buy this on Instacart and use Instacart gift card which you can get for 20% off from Costco. If you have chase CC, you might be eligible for Instacart credits (July is the last month after which they are discontinuing the IC credits)
For me it came down to $100+ tax

USB-C is the new age of apple cables they are using which transfer data and power devices faster than the older USB , or lightning cables. It's just the new age of cables they are using.
